MY STORY
Kene is a great admirer of sleep medicine and has been working in this field for nearly 20 years, since 2006. By education, she is a psychologist-counselor (University of Tartu, MA) and a certified sleep technologist (European Sleep Medicine Association). She has trained large companies and conducted numerous individual counseling sessions—for all those who have struggled with their employees' or their own poor sleep. Having worked in both state and private clinics, she has seen many different sleep disorders and, as a sleep technologist, knows in great depth what various sleep disorders entail. In addition, she has completed basic training in CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) and schema therapy, and she also treats patients with anxiety disorders, trauma, and addiction disorders (medication dependence). However, Kene has also undergone numerous trainings specifically aimed at insomnia, and the main evidence-based approach used worldwide is still CBT-I (insomnia cognitive-behavioral therapy). She has trained in Finland, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and France. She has done practical work in Finland and France as well. But she has mainly operated in Estonia (Tallinn and Tartu). She has also published a general educational handbook on sleep, "Good Sleep Guide" in 2019, and a children's sleep book "Come, Come, Sleepy One" in 2024.
